 Totally confused with Google
« Thread Started on Sept 19, 2009, 3:21am »

I keep getting messages from Google saying that none of my items have been inserted. I did a Google search and they are showing up twice for each item. What did I do wrong?

You should be disabling all private feeds to any marketplace sites you use Elaine, per Google's new policies:

Thanks Mike. Took me a while to figure it out. Hopefully I did it right.

Just delete the feed and erase your store url from the settings section.

Thanks,

Mike: When google first deleted our accounts, I did that (erase your store url from settings section). I, too, had been getting the mail that none had been inserted.

At that point almost all sales abruptly stopped. Sold almost nothing since then. How can I tell if my listings are being accepted by google now that you are sending them in?

What I do is go to google shopping search and put "atomic mall>quality junk" in the search window (without the quotation marks) it brings up all of my items and a few other listings that have quality of junk in them. May not be perfect but it gets most of them. The numbers will always be off a little because google is constantly updating and also does not insert every listing. Just my method, may not be the best. I do basically the same thing, but use key word>$range

That way I can also see how I rank among my competitors listings, and I often get good ideas looking at others listings how to improve mine ;)

I don't read very fast--could you write that again, this time a little slower?

I did find some listings by using ''atomic mall store name'' so that means they
are getting picked up and into google search?

Please tell me more about that ''$range'' search. I didn't get it at all.

Thanks.

I really am glad for your patience and help.

I just opened my store not long ago. I came across some old notes about how to set up Googlebase from my end and it looks like Atomicmall does the rest. The problem is that when I click on Googlebase under seller tools it does not bring up the information that the directions give, which is "launch data feed." Does anybody know how I can get this started? I pasted the link below that talks about Googlebase. THANKS!!

Atomic Mall handles all of that now. There is nothing for you to do on your end. :)

Cool. I looked under Google product search and I do not see my listings for Atomic. I also looked at the feeds for my Google account with Atomic but I do not see any feeds that have gone through. Do you know where I can go to see the feeds that have been put through by any chance?

A BIG thanks!

When you do a product (key word) search in Google Shopping (base) you can select a dollar amount range to view within. In other words, if you want to see products ranging from $3 to $5 you can select these ranges as a search filter.

You need to do absolutely nothing to feed your products to google base. When you click on google base (or google feed, I cant remember) from your account page you should see the last date that your store feed went through.

Ack! I just went to my Account page and clicked on Google Base, and it says my last successful upload was on 10/11/09! :'(

I tried logging into Google Base, and it says I have no feeds/there are no accounts TO delete!

Help!!!! :( No wonder my views are so low!
